PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Children in PreK & Kindergarten practice visual discrimination skills as they play a match-up game with ladybug cards! Children match black and white, or colored ladybugs by size, shape, color and design.

Visual Discrimination is the ability to look at differences in variables such as shape, size, pattern, color, texture, number, etc.

It is an essential skill in reading and writing. Through observation, games, and activities the child applies this knowledge to determine whether a letter was a lower case ‘r’, ‘n’ or ‘h’ or an upper case ‘F’ or ‘E’. They need to be able to see the differences, store them in their ‘working memory’, and learn to apply this skill to the reading and writing process.
such as shape, size, pattern, color, texture, number, etc.
