This resource gives very young children a chance to build their visual discrimination skills and familiarize them with the associated vocabulary. They will practice training the eye to discern various sizes with the use of colorful task cards and manipulatives. The manipulatives are different sized bottle caps that match different sized circles within the fun clip art of the task cards. Also, if you don’t have the correct size bottle caps to work with the task cards , I have included circle shapes to cut out which can be used with the task cards in place of the bottle caps.
If you would like to assess the student’s visual discrimination skills, there are worksheets which can be used for independent work, center work, and/or testing.
Included are photos/descriptions of the bottle caps I used and “answers” for the task cards.
I show a thumbnail of the task card and which bottle caps need to be used.
