Visual Discrimination - Winter Trees
A printable card game or center ideally for a small group of players or an individual student.
Students take a Tree Line card, start from the 'starting star' (on the left) and look at each tree closely. They must point to each tree in a left to right progression and take notice of each. Look at color, shape, size and internal detail.
Students then look back through the trees again and decide which is 'different'. They can identify this tree with a clothespin or paper clip.
There are 30 different Tree Line cards!
Lots of great learning fun! This game is perfect to play when your students are first learning to read. Teach them about the 'starting star' and use it in your other reading and writing activities. It will help them achieve left-to-right automaticity!
This file features a teaching tips page, a detailed instruction sheet, 30 cards, a follow-up worksheet and a cover page (for your organizational pockets and pouches).
