2nd Edition New graphics 10/3/2017
These cards were designed for very young children who are delayed in speech sound production. Each consonant picture represents a visual and auditory connection to familiar objects and sounds in a child’s natural environment. They are simple, with plain, non-distracting backgrounds so the child can focus on the picture only. The pictures should be laminated or placed in page protectors, then put in a binder. They can be used to have children review their sounds, or they can be given to families to use for home practice. I use them with my Birth-3, home-based children. Families like having a concrete way to help their kids learn to use their sounds.
