Description

Support for Parents. Can be used for your entire class. These forms intend to provide parents, family members and in-home support workers with a few ideas, strategies and supports for home instruction for young children with special needs. The information is based off of the strategies listed in the book from AutismClassroom.com called How to Set Up a Work Area at Home for a Child with Autism-2nd Edition.

The strategies are tailored specifically for the home environment for students who may have developmental delays, limited language skills and may need visual supports.

These supports are meant to put you on the “starting block” to creating an effective work area for your child who may need visual supports and specific, structured programming. They are a beginning step to the homeschooling process by providing the foundational items needed to set up a work space. These items may be helpful in getting you started. They will assist in creating a foundation for running a work space.

This does not include the lessons to be taught, only the tools and a few visual supports to set up for the instruction.
