Designed for morning meeting in a high school special education setting, this visual thermometer helps correlate temperatures to the feeling of that temperature. The thermometer is in increments of five to reinforce counting by 5's as we count by 5's for time and money (when using touch money coins).
I suggest printing on card-stock and laminating. We count by fives, up to the temperature of the day, and then use dry erase markers to draw a line on the thermometer. There is also weather types to circle (or write the day of the week to plan for upcoming inclement weather). Lastly, has a place to write the temperature for that day.
The large images of the weather are high quality, water color prints, perfect for age appropriateness. They can be printed on card-stock, laminated, and then have magnetic sheets glued to them to put on the whiteboard to make your morning meeting more interactive (I will have a student select what weather matches the forecast and put it on the board).
