Ten visual homophones anchor charts for students to complete. When finished, these may be displayed on a bulletin board, compiled into a class book of homophones, or added to vocabulary notebooks for future reference. Each page contains a common pair of homophones with a space for illustrating the words, defining the words, and four CLOZE questions for additional practice. CLOZE passages are decodable for students reading at a second grade level or higher. A completed example of what a finished poster might look like is available for use when introducing the assignment.
These are designed for special education students, however they are also appropriate for middle elementary students, speech and language therapy, and Tier II differentiation.
