I created a "no-sew" handmade version of my anchor chart for future mini-lessons. I used 4 cupcake papers filled with a ping-pong ball size amount of batting. I traced and cut out 4 white felt circles using a medium size drinking glass. I cut a small notch on either side of the felt circle and glued one side of the notch over the other (this gave a dome or raised shape for the "frosting"). I used hot-glue to secure the felt to the cupcake paper by carefully putting a thin bead of hot glue around the edge of the paper - be careful! I then attached the pom-poms by dabbing a little hot glue onto the pom-pom and adding it to look like sprinkles. I used hot-glue to glue the cupcake to a plate. I cut out the shape of 2 chicken legs using white and tan felt, hot-glued the white pieces of felt to the tan pieces of felt. I then laid the pieces on top of each other, glued them carefully with a thin bead of hot glue. I left a small opening so I could stuff some batting inside the chicken leg. I finished off the chicken by hot-gluing the last bit of its' edges.
