This visual is a great tool for students who are practicing their K-sound at the start of words. I break the target word into parts (K + ____) and emphasize K-sound. Have the student drag his or her finger along the dotted line while saying the K-sound and then have the student tap on the remaining letters of the word as he or she says them. You can provide a model for the student to copy. After a few trials, the student may be able to do it independently.
