This is a geometry activity that explores three dimensional visualization within the context of the earth, sun, and moon. What do the sun's rays look like as the earth rotates around its axis? Can you explain how night, day, sunrise and sunset work? How does the moon change in appearance as it revolves around its orbit? Can you predict the phases of the moon? This is an excellent activity to use in a general introduction of 3D, lines & planes, and parallel in geometry.
