These reading comprehension passages use language similar to the language used in Lindamood Bell's Visualizing and Verbalizing. The product includes 5 passages containing CVC words and simple sight words that are no more than 5 sentences long each. The students are then asked to "turn on the tv in their brains", which prompts them to visualize the following questions and statements that the adult reads to them. The passage is broken down sentence by sentence and paired with a question using Visualizing and Verbalizing language (ie. what did you picture...) This is perfect to use in a small group setting, one-on-one, or even as independent work for extra practice in order to build students' reading and listening comprehension skills.
