Viva San Fermin-Interactive Spanish Bullfight Game / Corrida de Toros

This Viva San Fermin! Interactive Spanish Bullfight Game (La Corrida de Toros) can be played with all levels of Spanish students and it incorporates culture, grammar and vocabulary beautifully. This game is an excellent way to teach about bullfights while practicing Spanish and reviewing vocabulary and grammar all in context!

There are a total of 3 different versions of interactive Spanish bullfight games available in the sparkenthusiasm store on Teacherspayteachers. They are called, "Viva San Fermin", "Los Sanfermines" and "La Fiesta de San Fermin - La Corrida de Toros". Each version of the game has different videos, different commands to act out, different vocabulary definition questions, and different pictures for the students to describe en espanol.

Teachers will meet all ACTFL standards as the toros compete against the matadors to see which team can demonstrate the best Spanish skills!

This Power Point game introduces bullfights with authentic pictures and sounds while highlighting the Fiesta de San Fermin in Pamplona, Spain. This game includes an introduction with several important facts and vocabulary words (el toro, la muleta, el matador, etc) along with multiple authentic photos and an embedded video demonstrating the celebration that occurs prior to the running of the bulls in Pamplona!

This game has 3 types of questions -
1)commands to be acted out by the students
2)vocabulary definitions where the students will listen to/read a definition in Spanish and then guess the word
3)pictures that the students will describe in Spanish individually or as a team.
This game will motivate students to learn while using their Spanish in an authentic way.

The questions included with this game are geared toward intermediate students, but can be easily modified for beginning and/or advanced students. Also included are clipart images that can be used to give students hints about the answers if needed.

Included in this .zip file are the power point game (which can be easily edited), detailed game instructions, an embedded running of the bulls video, and a word document with the typed questions that are already in the presentation.

There are game instructions (how to play) as PDF files. There are also detailed operating instructions for how the Power Point works in the notes section of the Power Point. This game is ideal as a review of material, as a reward, or to motivate students to use their language skills. The Power Point is similar to a Jeopardy style game, but with a Spanish bullfight twist!

Please note that the special effects will only work in Power Point 2003 and higher.

Also, in the free sample only the FIRST BULL in each category will work.
