This worksheet is designed to be used with every chapter you teach. It has a place for you, or the students, to list words and concepts from the chapter (enter in Box 1). Students can even get this list of words from your classroom word wall or something you gave them to read.
The worksheet also has a place for you to write a question. The students then choose the correct vocab words and concepts from Box 1 that they would need to use in order to answer your question and they write these words in Box 2 on the worksheet. Notice that Box 1 should have more words in it than Box 2 does.
The whole idea is that students need to know which vocab words and concepts to choose based on the question you asked. Once the students have chosen their words for Box 2, they are asked to USE the words they chose to answer the question in complete sentences.
This simple Vocab Mania worksheet is a step by step process that helps students answer questions using the CORRECT vocabulary. They also start learning how to answer questions using MORE vocabulary words. Ultimately, they also start to pay more attention to the question you are asking too. It is as simple as asking a question and filling in some boxes and it all fits on one worksheet that is easy to grade and can be used in every class.
