This is a great way to have students take notes on the chapter vocabulary, and it serves as a valuable resource for the rest of the year.
On the first day of the chapter, I'll show a Powerpoint with each vocab term, and students make guesses about each vocab word before I reveal the English translation. We'll pause often to practice pronunciation, or I'll have them cover their paper with their hands while I quiz them on words we just wrote down (Que quiere decir "llover?" Que quiere decir "la lluvia?" etc.)
By the end of this introduction, students already have a good portion of the new vocabulary memorized. I hope this helps your kids have a great start to this fun chapter!
