This Bingo game is an engaging way to help your students start seeing their chapter vocabulary in context. This can be used immediately after introducing the vocabulary for Realidades 2, Chapter 1A.
First, students need a sheet of paper (you could hand out half-sheets to save paper).
They then divide it into 16 rectangles, and they fill in each rectangle with one of the 16 specific vocabulary terms (these are shown in the Powerpoint). They are now ready with their Bingo boards!
Next, show a clue, give students half a minute to discuss it with their neighbor, and ask for volunteers to share what they think it is and why. Reveal the answer with a click, and then students mark that vocab term off on their list.
Once a student has four in a row, they call out "Bingo" and read their four vocab terms. Have prizes ready (Spanish stickers, pencils, Starbursts, etc.) for the first five winners.
If you want to expand the game, play a second time! Quickly re-arrange the slides, and play again!
