This game would make a nice complement to a unit of study on community helpers. In this simple game (for 2 or more players) children learn to make associations between occupations and the places they work in the community. This game can also be played to name items you might see in the locations written on the cards. It can be adapted for competitive or non-competitive play.
All the parts you need are included in this card game set (16 locations, a card mat, tokens for points, 2 answer keys, instructions, and a cover to make a file folder game) Only a few straight cuts and you are ready to play!
The game board and rules can be laminated and attached to a colorful file folder for easy storage. The tokens can also be laminated (before cutting is best) and placed in an envelope in the same file. File folder games are an inexpensive and convenient educational or therapeutic tool for itinerant specialists on the go because they are lightweight and easy to transport.
