Product Description
In a challenge format middle school students try and place the correct negative prefix in front of a base word to form forty-five commonly used "negative" words, such as immature, dishonest, unacceptable, etc. and then rate their accuracy. It is not that easy to do really well, and students score themselves in this activity.

Nine different negative prefixes are used: a-,anti-,dis-,il-,im-,in-,ir-,non-, and un-. This can lead to a discussion and study of more negative words or of positive prefixes. Answers provided.
