What educators are saying

We had a unit on sorting in math that did not do enough to show varies things to sort and this was a perfect supplement to our lessons in remote learning.

Description

Sorting and categorizing can be very beneficial learning opportunities for students. These Vocabulary Concept Sorts will give your students the opportunity to sort everyday objects into different categories. There are 7 different sorts included, in both color and black and white.

The categories included are:
Healthy/Not Healthy Food
Pets/Farm Animals/Zoo Animals
Sunny Days/Snowy Days/Rainy Days
Land/Air/Water Transportation
Furniture found in a Living Room/Kitchen/Bathroom/Bedroom
Animals that Crawl/Walk/Hop/Swim/Fly
Christmas/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Easter

The sorts with multiple categories can be broken down into smaller sorts of 2-3 categories each. I included extra categories to allow flexibility in differentiating instruction.

Also included are 2-way, 3-way, and 4-way blank sorting sheets for sorting. They are blank so that you can differentiate instruction, or your students can sort the same set of cards by a different attribute or theme. You could also use the sorting cards in a pocket chart or on a flat surface.

I also have included some Sorting Cut and Paste activities as well. There are 6 different Cut and Paste activities that will allow your students to show what they know, and will also provide practice with cutting and gluing.
