This resource contains 90 vocabulary dots and definitions which compliment the resource created by SunnyDaze found here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Word-of-the-Day-18-weeks-of-daily-bellwork-662994.
You can use this for one semester while learning a new word each day OR you could learn one word per week (which is what I do), in which case you will only need less than half of the words for an entire year. This is useful if you are going to have a group of students for more than one year (in the case of split grades in a small school). You could also use this resource with my bell work graphic organizer where you learn a new vocabulary word on Mondays.
How I use these dots:
At the beginning of the year, put all of the word dots that we will be learning up on my classroom wall. As we learn each new word, I put the smaller definition dot beside/on top of the word that it defines. Students seem to enjoy looking ahead at the words that they will learn. I have also found them trying to create sentences using as many dots as possible as a fast finisher activity.
