Match It Quick is a VERY popular game among students! After frequent requests, here are Match It Quick games specifically for your students working on categories/ vocabulary! Note: There are 6 individual card games in this vocabulary game pack!
This pack of vocabulary games includes a card game for each of the following 6 categories:
3.) transportation/ travel
4.) school vocabulary
5.) household vocabulary
How to play:
Each game has 6 different vocabulary items per card. There are 31 different items and cards in each game. To play, flip over two cards from the deck at the same time. Have students race each other to spot the matching picture on any two cards and use the depicted in a complete sentence. The first student to find the match and use the target word in a sentence will get both cards. Whoever has the most cards at the end of the game is the winner! This game is best with 2-4 players. Printing this game in black and white can make it more challenging for older students.
Match It Quick is a fun and unique way to practice syntax skills, grammar, and vocabulary. The game was designed to be used with language impaired children and/or with individuals learning a foreign language. Vocabulary cheat sheets are provided in English and blank vocabulary cheat sheets are provided for you to customize. You can supply the students with an already filled-in vocabulary sheet, or you may choose to have the students fill out the vocabulary chart themselves as an assignment before playing the game.
