Using this product your students' vocabulary will increase tremendously. Students constantly struggle unknown words, but using this personal journal students will compete with each other to see who has learned the most words. They will use context clues to figure out the meaning of words and have fun. The purpose is for students to be become word detectives.
This product includes:
3 cover pages for the journal. 2 of them in color and 1 in black and white.
2 student instructions pages (Ways to use this Journal). 1 in color and 1 in black and white.
26 letter pages (without lines), one for each letter of the alphabet. These pages compose the journal along with the cover page and instructions page.
26 letter pages (with lines), one for each letter of the alphabet. This is an alternative. You can use the pages with or without lines according to your taste and need.
2 templates pages with and without lines. You can use these for extra pages after a letter page.
Ways to use this product:
-Students can use it as a study guide
-Vocabulary center/workshop: provide books, magazines, etc, and students have to write the unknown words and find the meaning of those words.
-Students can also take them home and when they read a story at home or hear an unknown word they can jot it down in their journals with the appropriate definition.
-Could be use as a reference for your students.
-Students can work in pairs to share the words they have learned and they can jot the new words their partners described to them.
-Simply print the pages provided, staple it together or punch holes to it and place in a binder and the students will do the rest.
