This Vocabulary Journal is CCSS aligned and has students delve deeply and rigorously into selected words (that can be teacher or student generated).
Students explore the complexities behind words' etymology, roots, affixes, denotations, connotations, and usage!
The journal is divided into three parts, each focusing on a different level and method of critical thinking. There are a total of thirteen different journal entries for students to choose from. Journal entries vary in structure, genre, medium, and difficulty. Therefore, they appeal to a wide variety of student learning styles!
