The beginning of the worksheet has French vocabulary for transition words with space for students to write the definitions on the right. The first part is to compare or provide similarities, and the second part is to contradict or provide differences.
Afterwards, there are two activities for students to practice using these words in the context of writing and conversation. These activities have directions in French and then in English.
The first activity has students write down two opinions about the recent vocabulary theme, music/concerts/video games: one positive and one negative.
The second activity has students discussing one of three pre-planned topics. Students are to have a couple minutes to plan their ideas in French, and then students write their partners' ideas in English. Afterwards, students are to complete follow-up activities to further practice using the new vocabulary.
At the end of the form is an Exit Ticket activity.
