Description
It's important to teach essential speech-language skills, but you also need efficient ways to elicit responses and record data! This progress monitoring tool is comprised of several criterion referenced tests that will make data collection easier for you.
I know how valuable it is for SLPs to have progress monitoring tools handy in their therapy sessions. This is an extensive resource that is ideal for use by speech-language pathologists to measure children’s semantic skills. There are 300 words included in this assessment! If you previously purchased my January 2013 Baseball themed baseline data and progress check vocabulary and grammar sets (my original criterion referenced tests), I have expanded the language skills assessed and modified some of the terms in this excellent product!
This informal assessment packet contains vocabulary progress monitoring documentation forms to collect data on these semantic skills:
1) Object functions- 20 words (school & home items)
2) Word associations- 40 words
3) Categories- 10 groups *An expanded version is available to measure divergent/convergent naming on 8 forms (40 categories). Access my FREE SLP resource library for a copy. Visit buildingsuccessfullives.com and click on product/services.
4) Similarities/Differences- 10 words
5) Synonyms/Antonyms- 40 synonyms, 40 antonyms
6) Multiple meaning words- 90 words
7) Oral definitions with Tier I words- 10 words
8) Oral definitions with Tier III (academic) E/LA words-20
9) Figurative language- 20
This is an excellent resource to have handy in your speech-language therapy elementary & middle school classroom. I use these informal assessments aka criterion referenced tests frequently with students on my caseload as they measure children's performance on specific speech/language skill areas. The entire tool is ideal for elementary school level students. Skills 5-9 are great to monitor progress with middle school students or even skills 1-4 with kids who have mild or moderate intellectual disabilities. I also give general education Kindergarten -2nd grade teachers the object function, associations, categories, and similarities/differences sets to complete for RTI data tracking.
This is a tremendous savings if you purchase this product as this would cost alot MORE if bought seperately! As always, thanks for visiting my curriculum store.
My goal is to always create high quality products to make your SLP life easier and I truly value your feedback about my resources. Remember to click on the star above to follow my store.
