This handout allows for vocabulary review in a quick, no-prep way. Students define the word, write its part of speech, spell it phonetically, and use it in a sentence. Afterwards, they draw a picture to accompany the definition, helping visual learners understand the definition better. When time is a factor, this can even be assigned as homework and brought back the next day. The teacher only needs to make copies of each word, turn them into packets, and re-distribute to the whole class in order to study. The file also comes with a sample sheet that can be distributed for student modeling. I use this in my AP Lit classes for each vocabulary unit, as our in-class time for review usually gets lost in the shuffle.
