This is a first grade assessment of vocabulary and word relationships. It is designed to check your students' understanding of antonyms. Students are given 25 rows of words and are required to circle the word that means the opposite of each of the given test words. Many choices are high frequency or sight words. Many of the word choices are phonetic so your students will apply their phonics skills. I provided picture cues (a bell and a cup) to highlight two sample questions you can practice with your students before they begin the test. The product was designed with first graders in mind, but would work with lower-functioning second graders. With kindergarten students you would have to read the choices to them unless they are advanced. The fifth page is the answer key. This 25 question test is a word document that you can modify if desired, and it is easy to print off.
