Vocabulary Shake Up is a set of four game boards specifically designed to practice vocabulary in any discipline. Two of the game boards are for six different words and the other two are designed to practice 12 words. The games can be used to review, study, and practice previous learned vocabulary or even to introduce and use new vocabulary. All games are designed for two players.
Each game board is divided into six sections. From a word list chosen by the teacher, each player chooses six different vocabulary words. In each box, the students write one word, putting a different word in each box. The players take turns rolling the die and following the directions given in each section of the game board. Complete directions are listed on each game board.
Pages 3 and 4 of the original resource are identical except the boxes include different options. These two games for six vocabulary words may be copied front and back if you want the students to play two different ways, or if you wish the students to play the same game twice, copy just one of the games back and front.
Pages 5 and 6 are also similar games but again the boxes contain two different sets of directions. These two games for 12 words may be copied front and back if you want the students to play the game two separate ways, or the same game may be copied back and front to play the identical game twice. Another option is to copy two different game boards, (one for six words and the other for 12 words), one on the front and a different one on the back if you want the students to practice new vocabulary and then review vocabulary words previously learned.
