Inspired by Frayer Models, Vocabulary Squares ask students to interact with a new word by putting the definition into their own words, generating synonyms and antonyms, drawing an illustration, and using the word in a sentence. This document may easily be changed by the teacher, who can add the vocabulary word and its definition. Vocabulary Squares are a great way to start a class every day, or they can be used occassionally. This document can be printed for student use, and it is already formatted for projection. Students can fill in each box directly on a SMARTBoard if you have one. Created by Kevin Steinhauser.
