Based on the Frayer model, these vocabulary squares have a square in the middle for the word and one square each for a definition, picture, part of speech and sentence from the book. They come in four different options that you can use to differentiate. I use these in my classroom as a homework assignment, but in the past I have also used them as in-class word work. Use these for any vocabulary words: content area vocabulary, novel study or basal vocabulary, or words that students choose from their own independent reading. Enjoy!
