This is a fun and engaging vocabulary strategy to introduce new vocabulary words. My students always find it very boring and drab when I introduce a new unit by merely reading the word, part of speech, and definition from the book. This strategy allows them to take ownership and gets them moving. Plus, it puts all the ownership on them to really pay attention to the new words in the book!
