Provide your students with this vocabulary think-tac-toe board as a creative way to help them learn their new vocabulary in any subject. If you require them to complete the activities in a row, column, or diagonally, they will be using more than one type of intelligence. It can be used for social studies, science, or math vocabulary. It can also be used with a novel or a new story in reading.
Teacher tip- The first time I do this with my students, I completely go over the board and their choices in the classroom. I then give them class time to complete some of the project, so if questions arise I can answer them. After the first time, the students know how to complete the different squares, and I am able to assign as an independent project. I provide all materials for the students that they might need for each square.
