This is a complete unit for implementing student-selected vocabulary study in an honors or mainstreamed course. Relevant at all levels of study, this set of materials guides students to selecting unknown terms from their own influences, be it literature, television, music, peer conversation, or other course content. After students have compiled and been assessed on any number of self-selected lists, students will present one term to their peers, take notes on fellow students' presentations, and be assessed on their retention. This 4-page download contains a 1-page overview of student-selected vocabulary lists, weekly expectations, grading procedures, and assessment; a 1-page handout delineating the requirements for individual presentations, where each student is responsible for teaching one self-selected vocabulary term to the class; a teacher evaluation form for student presentations of vocabulary term and delivery; and a 1-page sample quiz created from student-supplied vocabulary.
