Product Description
Who couldn't use 12 months worth of SAT-level vocabulary lists, complete with definitions and the parts of speech for Middle School and High School students? And wouldn't like an additional 3 lists as a bonus? This product, "Vocabulary Word Lists:12 Months of Lists + 3 Bonus Lists" includes all 15 lists for a total of 300 words.

Besides preparing for tests, students need to gather words that showcase their verbal and written language skills instead of relying on texting abbreviations to speak for them. The 30 vocabulary activities in this packet will inspire them to add these words to their speaking and writing repertoires instead of just studying them for tests.

When young people understand the nuances of word meanings and usage besides just memorizing them, they will earn higher scores on SAT and other standardized tests, and will add depth and clarity to their writing..

Most importantly, they will be able to clearly communicate their thoughts, ideas and beliefs, and will comprehend what they read and what other people say.

Included in this packet are 15 vocabulary lists, each one composed of 20 words. Every word is defined and includes its main part of speech. Although suffixes will often change a word’s usage in a sentence, these vocabulary words show only the part of speech for the spelling of the word as given in the lists.

The thirty writing ideas included here have been utilized in other blogs of mine, such as:

More ideas for helping students make these words an active part of their speaking and writing repertoires can be found on:

(Vocabulary: Word Up With the Power of Words)
and another post featuring vocabulary ideas:

Check out the posts for explanations and more activities on how to equip students with the power of words. Before you do that, though, save yourself some time and energy by downloading these 12 lists and 30 ideas.
