After seeing students become frustrated with the stereotypical vocab cards on index cards and having to look up definitions and simply learn them this way, I wanted to create a different way for my students to truly learn and practice their vocab words. I create this flip book and my students absolutely love it! It still follows some of the same concepts as an index card, but it's recreated to identify the word, definition, and a sentence or picture for the word all on one side of the page of the "flip book." I print copies of these off for my students to use each week, cut them into the strips for every single word, then staple them together into the weekly flip book. You could add onto this resource by having students write/draw additional information on the back of each page of the flip book. Some of my students fill in their boxes on the front of the page, then create a comic strip on the back of the page for the word. The possibilities are endless!
