Product Description
Looking for a way to stimulate the growth of your students vocabulary? This product will give you the opportunity to highlight a new vocabulary word in your class every week.
Post one word each week in your writing center or somewhere visible to the class. Refer to it often and encourage your class to use the word throughout the week and in their writing. They can add every new word to a vocabulary folder you can create together using the sheets and folder label included in the download. :)

***Update*** I just finished setting my classroom this week, and decided to put the word of the week in a sheet protector and and put a border around it. It came out really cute and I can just slide the new words in and out easily!
As seen in the thumbnails, each vocabulary page states the vocabulary word, provides a kid friendly definition, the word used in a sentence (some words are used in a different tense), and a picture.

Download Includes:
50 vocabulary words that are sure to help your students become more effective readers and writers.

A label and sheets to make a "My Word of the Week" folder so that students can keep track of the words they have learned over the school year. 3 words per page. Students will write the word, part of speech, definition, make their own sentence, write a synonym, antonym, and make an illustration.

Word of the Week Sheets:Can be used at a center or for morning work. Introduce the word to the students and have them work in groups to complete.
Word of the Week Conversation Sheet: Students will fill in speech bubbles provided and write their new vocabulary word in a conversation they make up.

*Just a heads up, I did not include any synonyms or antonyms. Part of speech not included, and the words are sometimes used in a different tense in the sentence I made. Ex: For require I used "requires" in the sentence.
