Description
Teaching new vocabulary to upper elementary students does not have to be hard. This can be interesting and super engaging! Use dictionary skills and context clues to learn a new word in action. The vocabulary word is placed within a short paragraph and a writing prompt follows. See the preview for the 30 words included in this resource.
-There are EDITABLE SLIDE TEMPLATES included for the full-page slides and the student slides in this resource. I shared the fonts I used, but you can change the fonts according to your liking. This will allow you to change my prompts or add additional words!
Use whole group, small group, or for independent use. The slides come as full pages as well as a student option for them to type directly on the slide. These are compatible with PowerPoint and Google Slides. You can also print the full slides as task cards and hang them on a binder ring or place them in your writing center for creative writing tasks.
