PPT in PDF format for Spanish vocabulary for short story "Chac Mool" written by Carlos Fuentes. I love this short story! It ties in wonderfully with my Mesoamerica Unit. Chac Mool is the Mayan rain god. I also like reading with my students during Halloween and Day of the Dead because it's a bit spooky.
The story is appropriate for Intermediate Spanish students. I like to pre-teach vocabulary first prior to reading the story. The PPT in PDF format contains over 20 + words. I was surprised that some native speaker students did not know some of the words. So I have decided to pre-teach the vocabulary to all levels.
