Description

Vocal and pitch exploratory activities for grades pre-K through second grade are engaging, especially when they involve stories. "There's a Dino in Music Class!" is a no-prep (except printing one set) activity that tells the goofy story about how we'd react if a dino got loose in the class. In the activity, you simply tell the story while holding up the word and a "visual" of what the word describes. The students react to the word and the visual to produce a variety of sounds that will get them out of chest voice. This is a great warm-up activity for your primary-aged kids. The activity includes:

  • Lesson plan/process
  • Enrichment idea
  • Dinosaur graphic
  • Pterdactyl graphic
  • Eight words/nonsense syllables for vocal and pitch exploration
