Vocalic r words and Sentence Bundle | Speech therapy | Articulation
The coarticulation strategy in this bundle will be helpful for students who can say initial r sounds but are struggling with one or more vocalic R sound. Coarticulation uses a sound your student can produce to teach the target sound.
This bundle has lists of Vocalic /r/ words and lists of vocalic /r/ sentences for Ear, Air, Ire, Or, Ar, and Er.
It also has a bonus vocalic R word sort activity.
Each vocalic R word is followed by an initial R word in both the word and sentence lists.
"ear-reed" or "I hear ringing bells."
This strategy is perfect for students who can produce initial R words but still need to learn the motor pattern for vocalic R. It can help your students quickly move to practicing vocalic R at sentence level.
This packet includes
-coarticulation phrases for ear, air, ire, or, ar, and er.
-coarticulation sentences for ear, air, ire, or, ar, and er.
-vocalic R word sort activitiy
-Bonus Articulation Bookmarks (2 pages of homework bookmarks)
I have used these as homework to send home or as practice during my therapy sessions with students.
I have seen great results with this strategy in my own practice. I laminate my sheets and use them with every one of my /r/ articulation students.
The sentences are great for carryover of new motor patterns.
