How to use this product:

ROUND ZONE CHART

  • Print and laminate.
  • Display in a prominent place in the classroom. Advise students of the 'zone' it will be during work time - silent zone (I often play the same classical music during our silent times which calms my students), whisper zone and quiet chat zone.

VOICE-O-METER

  • Print and laminate chart.
  • Place in a prominent place in the classroom with the round 'zone' chart. Advise students of the 'zone' and monitor the classroom noise level by placing a white star on the appropriate level.

VOICE-O-METER (with grey box)

  • Print and laminate chart.
  • Place in a prominent place in the classroom with the round 'zone' chart. Advise students of the 'zone' and what the consequences will be if they exceed that zone. Place a white star in the grey box each time noise levels exceed the appropriate level. If students exceed a predetermined number of stars, a consequence may be given. Alternately, a positive consequence may be given for no stars.

SMALL VOICE LEVEL CHARTS

  • Print and laminate charts.
  • Attach them to the students' desks as required to assist students with self regulating their voice level.
