Description

My kids have SUCH a hard time with voice volume in the classroom. At the end of the year, I implemented the infamous #starbucksmode idea floating around on Instagram. They LOVED it! It seemed like relating what they should look and sound like during work time to something they could relate to in the real world was the trick. I thought this product would be a great way to relate every day settings into different "working modes." Plus, it's so much more fun to say "Coffee Shop Mode!" and not "Level 1 Voice...remember?!"

Included:

Posters (laminate for durability and display somewhere prominent with an arrow or push-light to let students know which "mode" they should be on!)

  • Movie Theater Mode - when someone is presenting or during whole class instruction
  • Coffee Shop Mode - independent work time, silent voices, music in background
  • Restaurant Mode - partner or small group work, talking to those at your "table"
  • Supermarket Mode - milling around and visiting at a normal volume, such as free time or indoor recess... (because no one runs yelling and screaming around the supermarket!)

Powerpoint Slides

  • All of these posters are also available as PowerPoint slides for when you need to project them during work time. It would be helpful in the first few weeks as they learn the different "working modes!"

**All of these posters come with an editable slide version so you can make the wording your own. Titles and clipart at NOT editable (usage rights, sorry!) Please see preview file before purchasing.**

I love seeing how teachers implement the resources that they get from me! Tag me on Instagram {@beingmrsbrauner} so I can see them in action!
