Help to control the volume level in your classroom with this Voice Level Poster. Students respond well to visual cues. This allows them to always know what is expected of them. This poster uses the Little Monster theme. Kids love these fun little characters.
Ideas for Use:
Discuss and model with your students how to use this chart before posting in your classroom.
• IN YOUR HEAD - This means that the only person who should hear you is yourself (thinking or reading in your head)
• Partner - This means that you use quiet voices that only you and your partner can hear
• Small Group - This means that you use quiet voices that only you and your group can hear
• Teacher - This means that the class is quiet and it’s the teacher’s turn to talk or a student’s turn and they are to project their voice so that the entire class can hear them
Use a clothes peg or a paper clip to indicate which noise level you expect in the classroom.
Discuss that it’s important for the class to maintain certain noise levels so that everyone can learn.
