TASK CARD INSTRUCTIONS
I use the “Task Card Station” activity if I feel that the students need to get up and move around the classroom.
Print and cut a set of the task cards (you may need to use two sets if you have more than 18 students). In order to print smaller cards, go to page-setup, and print 2 or 4 cards per page. I recommend printing them in colour and laminating them, or putting them on cardstock. Also remember to print them PORTRAIT rather than landscape so that they are bigger.
Print out a double-sided “response sheet for each team (or you can print one for every student).
For differentiation, you can give individual students a required amount of points. Cards that are valued at ONE point, are easier than those valued at 3.
Post the cards around the room/hall or on different desks. Remind students that if someone is already at a card, to move on to one that is free.
They must continue visiting new stations and completing new tasks until they’ve filled up their entire response sheet with answer to unique task cards.
