As we are gearing up for state testing I always ask myself, where are my kids hung up? For my 8th graders differentiating between volume, surface area and total surface area can be a challenge. They often realize they need to use a formula- but they don't always choose the appropriate one.
This activity was made for our STAAR bootcamp- students sort problems by type and then practice solving. Some problems include more than one step, others include misleading information- encourage students to READ CAREFULLY!
