Tired of the same old task cards? Are you trying a new blended classroom? Need help integrating technology into math? May be your school is moving to one-to-one devices... Here is a chance to integrate technology and still provide a rigorous problem solving activity!

This download comes with directions on how to take my interactive lesson (which is shared via a link in the directions) and share it with your students. This lesson can be shared on Google Classroom or you can share it as a link on classroom websites such as Edmodo.

The interactive lesson is on Google Slides. Students can improve computer skills while being fully engaged in the math lesson. No copies or paper needed!

The lesson contains 13 slides and many problem solving experiences.

Slide 1- Title, students put their names

Slide 2 - Find the Volume- Using Cubes

Slide 3 - Find the Volume- Using real life examples

Slide 4- Find the Volume- Using V= Bh

Slide 5- Find the Volume - Using V = s x s x s

Slides 6-9 Problem Solving- Students will have guided problem solving with word problems. These are open ended.

Slide 10-12- Test Prep- multiple choice questions and explain your thinking.

Slide 13- Ending and how to share with your teacher

I also include another link for an answer key. This would be perfect as a partner activity, independent activity, enrichment, or review before STAAR!

Apply the formulas 𝘝 = 𝘭 Γ— 𝘸 Γ— 𝘩 and 𝘝 = 𝘣 Γ— 𝘩 for rectangular prisms to find volumes of right rectangular prisms with whole-number edge lengths in the context of solving real world and mathematical problems.
Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with whole-number side lengths by packing it with unit cubes, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths, equivalently by multiplying the height by the area of the base. Represent threefold whole-number products as volumes, e.g., to represent the associative property of multiplication.
Relate volume to the operations of multiplication and addition and solve real world and mathematical problems involving volume.
