This product contains questions and set up instructions for 9 stations that involve problem solving with rectangular prisms and cubes. Each station provides a hands on experience when finding the volume of rectangular prisms with and without unit cubes.
These stations require a bit of prep from the teacher but are so worth the end result when you see how much your students grow!
You will need rectangular prism boxes of various sizes. You can use amazon boxes, cereal boxes, shoe boxes, etc. You will also need unit cubes like snap cubes or 1-inch cubes.
Students will need a measuring device (rulers, yardstick, measuring tape etc.) and an answer document. All of the questions to each station are printed on the answer document. Each station has 1 initial question and 1 extension question to spark deeper thinking.
