I am thrilled to bring you this FUN short and long vowel craftivity project that my students loved!
It is so easy to use! Simply print out the pieces for your students, have them write their short and long vowel words on each part, color, cut, and assemble with glue or tape!
This is a great way to practice this important skill, and they look fabulous in the hallway!
Each body part corresponds with the short or long vowel sound. For example, the collar is short o and the coat is long o. The hat is short a and the face is long a.
This pack covers the following common core standards: RF.K.3, RF.1.2, RF.2.3
This can be used with kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders.
This pack includes:
- pictures of student examples
- short and long vowel word lists
- 2 heads (a boy and a girl)
- a coat
I hope you enjoy! As always, my goal is to make teaching a breeze!
