These cards can be used to introduce students to vowel sounds and reinforce student understanding of the various sounds produced and represented by each vowel letter. Also used as pre-requisite to providing instruction of syllable types. The first sound produced and heard when pronouncing the sound clue word, serves as an auditory trigger and cognitive reminder to students of a vowels’ sound.
