Included in this packet are six different sheets: color the matching pair, find the letter Aa, find the letter Ee, find the letter Ii, find the letter Oo, and find the letter Uu. The first sheet, "color the matching pair" asks students to match uppercase and lowercase letters. The remaining sheets is a scavenger hunt of letters, asking students to find the appropriate vowel.
When my students are beginning to first learn about vowels, I present “Color the matching pair”. I pull the worksheet up on the Promethean board and we practice together as a class. (My students color the matching pair the same color, but you can draw lines as well). Each day of the week, we focus on a particular vowel. This is when I present them with the corresponding “Fine the letter” sheet. We complete day one together as a whole class, or in small groups. The remaining days they are asked to find the letter independently.
