Description

Is it long or is it short? This is a set of 30 self-checking digital task cards tackling long and short vowel sounds. If your students are having any difficulty reading (phonics) and recognizing long vowel spellings, this task card set can be VERY helpful! Many times our students need extra practice hearing the difference between the long and short vowel sound (phonemic awareness).

Long and Short Vowel Sort Includes:

  • 15 questions - Read the word and listen to the vowel sound.
  • 15 questions - Name the picture and listen to the vowel sound.

Add this set to your independent literacy centers or display for small and whole group practice.

This would be a GREAT deck to display for a small or whole group warm-up!

This set of digital task cards corresponds with this hands-on center:

These literacy task cards can be used as a supplement to any K-2 curriculum, during intervention/special education, and with homeschool.
